Helsinki's New Year's Eve party is one of the city's largest annual public events. Held at the People's Square, the event brings together thousands of city residents to celebrate the turn of the year with music, speeches and a visual program.

Capital AV was responsible for the technical implementation of the event, which included stage structures, lighting, video technology, and Capital Creative for the visual identity of the event.

A spectacular show was built on stage, with LED screens and lighting creating a strong visual environment for the performers and hosts. Since the event was also broadcast live on YLE channels , the technical implementation was designed to work seamlessly both on site and during the television broadcast.

An outdoor event in the middle of winter also posed its own technical challenges. Equipment reliability, safety, and rapid construction were key factors in the successful implementation.

As a result, Kansalaistori was transformed into a spectacular celebration arena, where the public could welcome the New Year with a shared experience.
