The legendary Step Up School's spring performances once again ended the dance school's spring season in style just before summer. The two-day event included six different performances and a total of 132 dance numbers. Capital AV was responsible for the technical implementation of the event, which included sound, lighting and video technology, suspensions and a dance mat.

Step Up School is one of the most well-known dance schools in Finland, and its spring student performances have become a tradition, where hundreds of dancers get to perform in front of a large audience in a professional setting.

The event, held in spring 2024, was held over two days, during which six different performances and a total of 132 dance numbers were seen. Each performance required its own visual expression, which placed special demands on the event's lighting and performance technology.

Capital AV was responsible for the technical implementation of the event, which included sound, lighting and video technology , suspensions and the dance mat required for the dance performances. The technology created a clear and dynamic visual environment that supports the dance performances and brings out the choreographies in the best possible way.

The special feature of the event is its fast tempo. Each performance is usually seen only once in a rehearsal before the actual show, which requires the lighting operator to react quickly and have a clear sense of the situation. The lighting is designed to support a wide variety of dance styles and choreographies without long pauses for changes.

Student shows offer hundreds of children and young people the opportunity to perform in front of a large audience in a professional event environment every year. Each event has a special atmosphere as the performers get to realize their dreams on stage.

The collaboration between Capital AV and Step Up School has continued for decades , and each year the event offers the opportunity to develop new lighting solutions and visual ideas to support dance performances.
