Kajo 2022 was an international scout camp that brought together over 13,000 participants at the Evo camp site in the Häme forests. Capital AV provided the technical equipment for the event's main stage, which enabled the camp's evening programs and artist gigs. The implementation was built in cooperation with scout volunteers in a challenging forest environment.

Kajo 2022 was one of the largest scouting events in Finland, bringing together over 13,000 children, young people and adults to the Evo camp area to celebrate the international scout camp. The camp program consisted of daily activities, but many participants especially remembered the joint parties on summer evenings and the concerts organized on the main stage.

Capital AV provided the technical equipment for the camp's main stage, which was used to implement evening programs and artist performances. A special feature of the event was that the entire camp was largely designed and implemented by the scouts themselves.

The project was implemented in close cooperation with scout volunteers. The camp was built in the middle of a forest, which presented its own logistical challenges for the technical production. Moving the equipment across terrain often required muscle power, as the small-wheeled transport boxes do not move easily on uneven terrain.

The construction site conditions were clearly different from traditional event venues. Instead of the flat floor of the exhibition halls, the terrain was uneven in places, and installing the stage structures required creative solutions – sometimes we had to grab a shovel or saw plywood under the legs of the stages to get the structures straight.

The camp's project manager, Ville Saarikangas, recalls the event as an impressive whole:

“Kajo 2022 was an impressive event. It was an event entirely planned by the scouts themselves and Capital AV was responsible for the equipment. I was impressed by how quickly the whole thing was set up with the help of volunteers.”

The event also created new connections in the event industry. One of the camp volunteers, Niklas Pajunen , worked in production for the scouts. After the camp, he joined Capital AV's freelance network and is currently working as a technical designer for the company.
