The City of Helsinki New Year's Eve Party is one of the capital's largest annual public events. The 2023 party was held at Kansalaistori, where the public gathered to welcome the New Year amidst the Helsinki cityscape.

Capital AV implemented the stage technology for the event and was responsible for the overall system that enabled the evening's diverse artist program and a spectacular visual experience for the general audience.

The visual world of the event was built around the stage's LED screens, lighting, and artist-specific content . Each performer was given their own visual identity, which supported the atmosphere of the performances and brought variety to the evening's program.

The technical implementation was designed specifically with the scale of the outdoor event in mind. The sound system was designed so that the music and performances could be clearly heard throughout the large area of Kansalaistori, while the lighting and video content created a dynamic stage image.

As the evening approached midnight, the People's Square was filled with anticipation. The New Year's countdown and festive atmosphere combined the experience of thousands of people for one moment in the heart of Helsinki.
